There are a number of places where survivors of therapy abuse and exploitation can find support including Reddit and Facebook Forums and more specific support and access to resources like TELL (Therapy Exploitation Link Line). All provide great support and information. That said not everyone feels comfortable accessing support in this way. I set up 1:1 sessions for those looking to work one on one with a peer support worker. Information on how this works can be found here. For Professionals
While most professional trainings focus on the ethical obligations of therapists and the regulatory consequences of misconduct, this unique and vital workshop shifts the lens to center the client’s experience—examining the deep and often devastating impact of boundary violations on survivors of therapy abuse and exploitation (TAE).
Facilitated by Bernadine Fox—award-winning mental health advocate, author, and survivor of therapy abuse—this workshop provides critical insight into how ethical and sexual boundary violations unfold within therapeutic relationships, the trauma they inflict, and the systemic barriers survivors face when seeking recognition, support, and justice.
